アシッド・ジャズシーンの前身となった英国のジャズ・ダンスムーブメントのなかで、日本のジャズが「Jap Jazz」と呼ばれてヘビープレイされていたらしい。当時のジャズDJ、Duncan UrenがJap Jazz Chartというチャートのなかでこの曲を挙げていた。こういう日本のジャズにあわせて何千人ものイギリスの黒人達(白人もおおいにいたらしいが、)が踊っていたっていうけど、日本人のジャズ/フュージョンが当時の黒人に認められてるってすごいと思った。
